Bacon Stuffing

    • 1 lb. French Bread
    • 10 slices of Hahn’s bacon, chopped
    • 1 sweet white onion, minced
    • 2 stalks celery, chopped
    • 1½ cups chicken broth
    • 1 tsp dried thyme
    • ¼ cup fresh parsley, minced
    • 1 tsp dried sage
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • A few pats of butter

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
    2. Slice your bread into small cubes, and place into a large bowl.
    3. Fry chopped bacon in a skillet over medium high heat until crispy.
    4. Remove bacon and let drain on paper towel before adding to bowl with bread cubes.
    5. Leave a bit of bacon fat in the skillet and add the onion and celery.
    6. Saute on medium heat until translucent and slightly golden. Then add vegetable mixture to the bowl with the bread and bacon.
    7. Add your herbs and spices to the bowl, along with the chicken broth.
    8. Mix well! Feel free to add more chicken broth if you like a wetter stuffing.
    9. Add stuffing mixture to a greased casserole dish and top with a few pats of butter.
    10. Bake covered for 30 minutes, and then uncovered for another 30 minutes.
    11. Enjoy!
